Come and enjoy our fragrant, buzz of Lordington lavender set in the heart of the South Downs. Every year we open our gates to the public to come and enjoy a walk amongst the lavender rows, a cup of tea and piece of cake and an oppurtunity to meet with friends and family relaxing together.
Start your visit with our tractor ride from the car park to the farm yard to which the lavender is just a short walk away – a favourite for the children!
Once again, our local charity teams will be providing delicious tea and cakes, including homemade lavender delights, raising funds for their chosen charities.
We are committed to keeping the field a rural, non-commercial oasis of bees, butterflies and other wildlife for everyone to enjoy. With this in mind, we have made every effort to keep it open to everyone. Entry for children under 16 remains free of charge and we welcome dogs on leads. Please note that there is a steep and uneven slope to and in the lavender field. Please be aware that this may be unsuitable for some disabled persons and wheelchairs.
Commercial photo shoots and use of drones are not permitted during open week. For use of the field for a commercial shoot please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please visit our Gallery to see some of the highlights from previous years.

Nestled in the South Downs, Lordington Lavender was established in 2002 by local farmer Andrew Elms. After selling his dairy herd he was looking for a new way to diversify and decided that Lavender would be a unique and exciting alternative. The crop is grown with conservation of habitat and the environment very much in mind. No fertilizers or pesticides are used and it has become haven for wildlife with at least 12 red listed species of birds including skylarks and barn owls found on the farm.
Now, 4 acres of Mailette lavender, a French Provencal variety famed for its high quality oil is harvested once a year to produce a wonderful essential oil and the business has become a family affair. From originally just selling an essential oil a whole range has developed but all with one aim – to produce simple, pure and honest products using only the highest quality ingredients.
Every summer the lavender field is full of bumble bees and butterflies and when the sun shines you can imagine being in Provence!
